Our tour guide, Diego is a Basque Country native. He is very knowledgeable of the history, geography and traditions of this region and the country! He organizes state of the art tours, personalized up to the last detail. We went around many cities and towns like San Sebastián, Calahorra, Vitoria, Guernica, Santillana Del Mar, Bilbao, and we also crossed the boarder to France and visited Biarritz and Bayonne. We were interested in the Jewish roots of those towns and Diego organized special tours and made appointments with a local rabbi and with a priest to visit the places and the museum. Very efficiently planned, always on time, Highly recommended. He made our trip a lifetime experience! Five stars plus! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We went on an excursion along the coast of Guipuzcoa and the truth is that I can't praise it enough. First, because it is a wonderful getaway and above all, because Diego is a great guide and I think a friend who never ceases to surprise you. He is super documented, does everything possible to make you feel very comfortable and not only this, he is a person very much in love with his roots and makes you fall in love with those same roots. Thank you Diego, for your good times and we hope to enjoy this wonderful land that is Euskadi with you.

Diego took me from Donosti to Hondarribi where we tried the best pintxos! We also walked along the Talaia Bidea, a path with breathtaking views along the coast next to the lighthouse. Then he managed to show me Sokoa, San Juan de Luz and Gethary, amazing! One place better than the other. Diego is a very knowledgeable guide who would share with me bits of history, geology and lots of good advice. The architecture is spectacular and the natural beauty of this corner of the world is simply amazing. I highly recommend a trip with Diego to anyone.

We visited 5 small French towns, all of them beautiful, interesting, clean, with many signs of past centuries. Our guide Diego, very professional, very knowledgeable, he knows everything! He could work with people:. friendly, pay attention to details, his car comfortable. so our trip was the best one! ! !

While in San Sebastian on a week long holiday we decided to visit Lourdes in France and was advised by the hotel reception that Diego' s private guided tour to Lourdes would be a good option. Diego picked us up at our hotel and from the moment we met him he was proved to be a respectful and professional guide. His English was impeccable and his knowledge of the Basque Country excellent. He engaged with us in an informal, fun and pleasant manner. In Lourdes, he showed us around all the holy and tourist sites including the Grotto, the three Basilicas and spectacular views of the Pyrenees and Lourdes from the top of the Funiculaire du Pic du Jer. Diego created one of the best experiences of our holiday and comes highly recommended.

Diego has such a rich and extensive knowledge of Basque history and culture and displays a level of hospitality that is just so incredibly rare. That should already be enough… but the thing that sets Feel Basque Country apart from not just other local guides but guides all around the world, is that Diego genuinely, truly, sincerely wants you to have the best time. He has so much pride in the Basque region and in you having an unforgettable experience. We could not fault one bit of our 2 days with him showing us around. Basque Country is amazing on its own but it is so much better with Diego going above and beyond to ensure you have the best time. We weren’t sure what to expect but after a couple days, going from the San Fermin Festival in Pamplona all the way to Biarritz, we can say with so much confidence that you will leave so incredibly fulfilled and satisfied, wishing you never left! All that said, we also feel like we made a new friend! And can’t wait to come back again!

I just returned from a magical trip to San Sebastian and Basque Spain. We (2 couples) booked a tapas tour with Diego and it was absolutely magical. Diego is a Basque native and begins the tour with an informative history of the region. We then proceeded to visit six local tapas bars and sample the most delicious food. Diego picked very unique places and at each bar we sampled their specialty followed by a refreshing and tasty pour of local wine or beer. Diego is very knowledgable about the Basque region and we enjoyed discussing life and food with him. Diego was our tour guide for our honeymoon, and was truly excellent. I had lost my luggage for the first 5 days of the honeymoon and Diego went above and beyond helping us get emergency clothes and calling the airline for lost luggage, and basically took away so much of the stress so that we could enjoy the honeymoon. Diego looked after us for several days, which included transport, txakoli wine tasting. The highlight for us was the hike along the Basque coastline. Diego's route that he took was breathtaking, we had a wonderful rustic lunch and Diego couldn't help but stop and show us wonderful surfing spots and geological features. Honestly, we felt like we had made a close friend by the end of the honeymoon, and were so lucky to have found Diego. He is such as a warm and generous person, who takes so much care in showing everything the Basque region has to offer. I would consider anyone to be very lucky to have him as their guide. Thank you Diego (and apologies for being so late in providing our review, I had to create a Tripadvisor account to do so 😉

The tour we had with Diego was 10/10. My husband and I did a walking/driving tour of San Sebastian and Diego even threw in a few pinxtos stops along the way. Diego knew the history of the region perfectly and was very accommodating to our preferences/requests. 100% recommend.

Diego was our tour guide, we were a family of four 52,51,21, and 19 - we spent two days with Diego after traveling through France and Spain and he was by far a five star tour guide, flexible and adjusting along the way to meet our needs. The first day was a bike tour on E-bikes and we got a complete tour of San Sebastián which allowed us to know where we wanted to go for the remainder of our trip in San Sebastián - discotheque - surfing - pintxos - aquarium - etc - day two we were supposed to go sailing but the weather and ocean did not want to cooperate so we adjusted and went to see - Biarritz - Saint-Jean-de-luz - Hondarribia - we learned so much about French and Spanish history - along with culture and traditions - Diego arranged for a special lunch for us and truly allowed us to immerse ourselves in the basque culture. He spoke excellent English, Basque, Spanish, and French! We visited local fresh food markets, local fashion shops, castles, churches, hotels, and many pintxos shops!

Diego was our tour guide for a Pinxtos Tour through San Sebastián. We were a party of 6 in our 60's and are from New York City. Diego was absolutely amazing! He really knows his subject matter and is an expert on the history, culture and cuisine of Basque Country. Just as important, he really made the tour fun. We laughed and joked in between his informative narrative of his proud culture. We could not have picked a better guide. I will come back to San Sebastián, and I will definitely reconnect with Diego. I highly recommend him for anything you may need when you visit beautiful San Sebastián. He's the best! Ray from NYC.

Diego, nuestro guía, fue muy informativo y su inglés fue excelente. Visitamos algunos lugares hermosos e interesantes que caminamos. Esto nos dio un buen sentido y ambiente de los lugares. ¡El vehículo en el que viajamos era súper cómodo!

Espectacular recorrido y Diego es un excelente guía. La ruta del vino de Rioja con comida típica regional es fantástica. Visité desde bodegas boutique hasta medianas y todas fueron excepcionales. No mucho el nivel de atención de Diego y el personal y las bodegas.
