Tour Description

In this tour, we want to offer you the possibility to know Guernica, the Biscayan Coast and Bilbao.

We will start the day heading towards Guernica, an emblematic place of excellence for the native Basque people. In this city, which was the meeting place of the Lords of Biscay for centuries, we will visit the Assembly house, the Tree of Guernica and we will tell you the history of this place, almost completely destroyed after the bombing in 1937.

Afterwards, we will go to Bermeo, where we will be able to admire its beautiful port, surrounded by charming houses, which practically hang from the cliff. For centuries, Bermeo was the main seaport in the Basque coast.

Our next stop will be San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. This place was chosen as one of the settings for the Game of Thrones series because of its spectacular nature. Here we will be able to visit the picturesque Hermitage, and enjoy wonderful views of the wild Cantabrian Sea, where we will see the cliffs and magnificent arches formed by the force of the sea and the wind.

Finally, we will go to Bilbao, where we will visit the magnificent Guggenheim Museum, work of the famous Canadian architect, Frank Gehry. This building, shaped like a ship and covered with titanium, has become one of the icons of the city.

Here we will end the tour, and make our way back to your accommodation.

Private guided tour with Diego
While in San Sebastian on a week long holiday we decided to visit Lourdes in France and was advised by the hotel reception that Diego' s private guided tour to Lourdes would be a good option. Diego picked us up at our hotel and from the moment we met him he was proved to be a respectful and professional guide. His English was impeccable and his knowledge of the Basque Country excellent. He engaged with us in an informal, fun and pleasant manner. In Lourdes, he showed us around all the holy and tourist sites including the Grotto, the three Basilicas and spectacular views of the Pyrenees and Lourdes from the top of the Funiculaire du Pic du Jer. Diego created one of the best experiences of our holiday and comes highly recommended.
